Frills and Fusion

Friday afternoon, Elena Minton and I met at Nitally’s Thai Mex Cuisine. I was immediately greeted when I walked in the door. The restaurant is warm and inviting. Everyone around us had already ordered their lunch and the food looked amazing. I had a hard time trying to figure out what I wanted. We decided to start off with the appetizer sampler which included stuffed fried wonton, lettuce chicken wraps and spring rolls. ($9.99) Then I ordered the panang burrito and Elena decided to have the chicken panang mole. The list of tacos is astounding: orange, chipotle, garlic, ginger, vegan, picoso rojo, spicy basil and red curry. There is also a large selection of boba and hot tea. Vegans and vegetarians will be pleased as there are a lot of options.

As Elena and I devoured our sampler platter, we discussed Talk of the Town Boutique which she has owned since March of 2009. The store is located at 111 – 2nd Avenue NE in St. Petersburg. It is filled with all sorts of accessories from purses to jewelry, earrings, necklaces and business card holders. Elena usually only stocks one of each item, so if you see something you like, you better buy it as it probably won’t be there the next time you visit. Although a full line of Suzy Toronto items and polka dot luggage is always in stock. This week there are a lot of pink things with crowns for the Princess in your life!

Our food was delivered and it looked magnificent. There were two massive burritos on my plate! A to go box was definitely needed. You can call ahead and place your order for pick up. Don’t be surprised if they tell you 45 minutes as everything is made fresh and they get busy. The restaurant is open from 11:00am-1:30pm and 5:30pm-9pm Tuesday through Friday and 5:30pm- 9:00pm on Saturday.
