Lunch at Tropicana Field watching the Rays!

I love day games! You get to leave work and watch something as American as baseball played right before your eyes. My task today was to see what kinds of food you can have for lunch - not including the hotdog and standard fare that you most likely already know about! This was fun for me, but you know I do it all for you!!

I had to enlist the help of a couple of friends, because there was so much food! We ate our way through the Trop! There really are a lot of dining choices. I didn't get the pictures from one of my favorite places, though - the pasta bar! We were so full after eating the food we had eaten that no one could even think of eating anymore! The pasta bar is located on the same level as the Whitney Bank Club. They make custom sandwiches and pasta dishes. There is a little bit of a wait as it is cooked to order, but if you want good food, you gotta wait!

We started off on the first base side with a PoBoy Sandwich. It was made with blackened shrimp. Surprising ballpark fare! This is one of the newest food choices at the Trop this year. All sandwiches are made fresh to order.

We kept moving through the concourse until something else struck our fancy. It was the nacho cart! You can get plain nachos, beef nachos or chicken nachos. You pick all of your toppings too! You can select from (I will probably leave something out) salsa, sour cream, black olives, guacamole, shredded cheese, onions, tomatoes and jalapenos.
Our next stop was in the Batter's Eye Restaurant.
We selected a couple things from the menu so we could try more than one thing.
We ordered the caprese skewers, the fish and chips, more nachos and a salad.

There are many different cuisines available! Take a walk around and see what is out there before you order that hotdog!!

GO RAYS!

  1. Wow, I can't believe all this food is at the ballpark! Too bad you have to be attending a game to partake!
